Allergy fact from fiction

Allergy is no doubt a big problem, but it is projected as a bigger problem with many kinds of myths and misconceptions. The projected myths are actually not allergy. They are just part of beliefs. Mostly such myths are harmless. Some myths could be really dangerous and could lead to very serious consequences. The researcher discussed some myths including, Allergic to Artificial Dyes, Not having Vaccines Due to an Egg Allergy, Highly Allergenic Foods Shouldn't be Given to Children until 12 Months of Age, Allergic to Cats and Dogs, but Can Have a Hypoallergenic Breed. Such allergies do not have any kind of scientific base. If followed these could be dangerous. The allergist David Stukus, MD, ACAAI member explains, “Many early medical beliefs have been proven to be incorrect as research has advanced. Unfortunately, some of these beliefs are still on the Internet, where an astonishing 72 percent of users turn to for health information.”
