What you eat during your pregnancy affects the mental growth of your child

The project NUTRIMENTHE has shown that the growth of your child’s mental and physical development is dependent on what the child’s mother eats during her pregnancy days. These qualified experts have studied many young children and also found out the effects that breast feeding vs. formula food habits have on their children. These studies revealed that the intake of folic acid by a pregnant mother in the first trimester is responsible for the behavior pattern of a child and can reduce it also. Also eating fish which is oily in nature would help your child to develop good reading ability. Cristina Campoy the leader of this project felt that, a more long term research needed to be undertaken as a child’s brain takes time to mature and the absence of good nutrition can have harmful effects on the child in the long run. Environmental effects also affects a child’s upbringing and Cristina strongly advocates breast feeding by a new mother, for the overall growth of the child.
