Low coverage of breastfeeding found at first prenatal visit
Breastfeeding is very much important part of parenting. Every mother should be aware about it. It is the most important and first meal of an infant. Any problem or leniency in it can affect a baby’s health. So, every mother should be very careful about it. According to a latest publication of a research in Obstetrics & Gynecology suggests that the education about breastfeeding at the first prenatal visit is very limited and dicey. This is a matter of concern. If a mother or parent is not aware about it then she cannot raise her baby properly.
There should be good education towards this particular issue. This will help in better parenting.
The co-researcher Jill R. Demirci, Ph.D., of the University of Pittsburgh explains, “Observed breastfeeding education at the first prenatal visit was suboptimal. The causes and effect of this deficiency on breastfeeding outcomes remains an important point of investigation.”
