Too much coffee may increased your risk of death
The people who love guzzling down cup after cup of coffee everyday might consider putting away coffee for good. A large scale research involving 45,000 people and spanning over 17 years have found that people under the age of 55 who drinks more than 4 cups of coffee a day or more than 28 cups of coffee per week are at a higher risk of dying. The study results were adjusted as per the smoking habits of the participants.
The increased risk is 56% for men and women have double the chance of dying as compared to those who drink coffee moderately. However, the reason behind this is not clear yet. During the 17 year run of the study 5% of the participants died. Another significant fact is that the scientists have been unable to find any link between death risk in people older than 55 and their coffee consumption.
