Knowing how organs form explains the incurable birth defects
Incurable birth defects are one of saddest things. This can change whole life of a person rather not only life of one person but the other people also. This is one of the biggest mysteries that scientist are working on. They are looking for the reason behind such issues. A new study published in the journal Developmental Cell suggests that knowing and learning more about how organs form can help to explain the incurable defects.
The researchers here are able to find out the series of molecular signals that help to instruct the intestines to loop counterclockwise. This process ensures that it can fit untangled into the abdomen.
The lead investigator Natasza Kurpios, assistant professor and a developmental biologist at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine explains, “What we've learned about how organs take shape reveals what may contribute to fatal birth defects and other diseases that arise when organs form at random, opening new paths for diagnosis and prevention," said. "It may also have broad implications for cancer research.”
