Experts Finds -Pharmacy research can help to raise health literacy standards

Health literacy is very important for healthy living. Health literacy can guide everyone to improve their health in a better way. Recently through a study conducted by US National Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy and lead to improvements in communications and health care proves that experts feel that Pharmacy can help to raise the health literacy standards. Pharmacy, Medication Use, and the National Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy published in the journal Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy. The researcher, Michael J. Miller, RPh, DrPH, FAPhA, of the College of Pharmacy, The University of Oklahoma, explains, “The ideas generated from the research described in these papers should serve as a stimulus for future research and dialogue about a topic that is fundamental to ensuring optimal medication use, safety, and equity in health information-sharing.” The research had provided a proper insight about the changes observed through Pharmacy literacy.
