Older volunteers have good physical health than younger’s

It is usually believed that younger people have more strength than the older ones but this proved wrong by a very new study. According to this new study it has been suggested that older people above 70 and plus who are regularly volunteering for some or the other cause are in better shape and physical health as compared to the younger volunteers. According to the research team people aged 70-85 who regularly volunteered have much better health than those lying 58-69. They are more fit and fine. They have a lot impressive biological profiles as compared to their younger peers. The lead researcher Seoyoun Kim, a doctoral student in sociology and gerontology explains, “We looked at older adults engaging in a variety of productive activities, but there is something really distinctive about volunteering that positively affects a person's physical health.” The study finds it place in an online journal The Gerontologist.
