Carbonation can change mind’s perception of sweetness
As per a study conducted by Rosario Cuomo, associate professor, gastroenterology, department of clinical medicine and surgery, “Federico II” University, Naples, Italy shows that carbonation cam alter brains perception about the sweetness. The brain cannot differentiate between the sugar and the artificial sweetener.
Further the Associate professor Rosario Cuomo explains that “Tricking the brain about the type of sweet could be advantageous to weight loss—it facilitates the consumption of low-calorie drinks because their taste is perceived as pleasant as the sugary, calorie-laden drink.”
This is not a positive finding. It has its lows. It puzzles the drinker about the calorie intake. The tricking of brain can increase the intake of sugar. It may also lead to eating disorders and other metabolic diseases among the diet soda drinkers.
Hence, one has to deal carefully with this situation. Excessive intake might lead to gastrointestinal cavity. Further also it can also lead problems like obesity.
