Detection of lungs cancer at early stages could be diagnosed

The Cancer research of America found that a protein is present in lung cancer which is known as IDH1.It is considered as a biomarker that can help to diagnose lung cancer. The study and the current scenario cays that IDH1 can detect cancer at first stage itself. Lung cancer is quite dangerous if not diagnosed on time. The researches made by the team found that the IDH1 is present in lung cancer and nearly it has 76 percent sensitivity. They also found that IDH1 could prove useful to detect the precancer but the confirmation is required by other clinical test. The team collected the blood samples from various sources and found that diagnose of cancer were not done since 3 years. They measured the level of IDH1 in these samples to conduct certain test on them. The director says that “Our research also suggests IDH1 may be involved in the development of lung cancer, and it may be a good target for the treatment of NSCLC”
