It was believed that having rich omega-3 fatty acids helps to boost memory and also thinking skills in women. This was proved wrong by a new study conducted at University of Iowa the research found out that omega-3 does not help a woman in any such ways. It was believed that women who are having proper omega-3 fatty acids they will have good memory. Also having it leads to improvement in the memory. The research took data from more than 2,000 women between the ages of 65 to 80. They underwent blood tests to measure their omega-3 levels. After that they were divided into two groups based on their levels. Later on they were given an annual exam for consecutively six years that tested their memory, motor, and also thinking skills. This way they concluded that the Omega-3 fatty acids are not helping to boost their memories in any way.
