Ultrasound is becoming an effective medium for early and precise diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and should be taught more
A review by J. Christian Fox and colleague’s advocates inclusion of ultrasound in medical education programmes so as to reap all its benefits early. The study outlines the efficiency of ultrasound in diagnosing patients with inherent chest pain, shock due to attack and shortness of breath in a much more precise manner.
Compared to the traditional forms of detecting the symptoms, ultrasound provides more accurate estimate of the patient’s condition in any kind of cardiovascular problems. It also helps in early detection of such problems in patients. Clinicians and practitioners across the world are resorting to ultra sound in point of care examinations. The accuracy of diagnosis through ultrasound has been proved by students across. They say that it very important to include this in medical schools at the early years so that the students get more practiced in its use and diagnosis.
