"This study confirms what has been suspected for quite some time, that fecal transplants are the most effective and most efficient way to restore gut health in patients with recurrent C. diff," Moore said. He emphasized on the importance of capsule adoption since it is more palatable, easy to use and do not require any assistance from the doctors. Further the cost incurred in making it as well as purchasing it was reasonable making it affordable to most people.

Capsules Adopted For Transporting Of Unpleasant Content for Treatment of Gut Infections
Clostridium difficile can only be treated effectively through admission of unpleasant healthy fecal bacteria. Previous studies have focused on the use of tubes that transport the contents directly to the gut in treatment of infection.
However, recent research has reported the suitability of using capsules for transporting the fecal into the gut. "It's much more palatable for patients," said Dr. Tom Moore, a clinical professor who took part in the research.
The study provided the capsule to about 250,000 patients who responded to the treatment indicating the effectiveness of the strategy.
