Knowing the basic Scientific Facts about bipolar disorder

The UCLA researchers, with the help of new techniques along with the team from University of Colombia and Costa Rica, define 50 brain and behavioral along with the outcome from brain imaging and cognitive testing, for diagnosing bipolar disorder. This is a severe nerve disorder effected 1-2% of population, and leads to mood swings, reduce energy levels. The experts examined 738 adults, out of which 181 are affected; in which 50 has genetic cause. They says that the test is just an initial step, as the genetic cause is close to the smaller research taken forth early ago, indicates that even the biological pathways can influence the risk in other people. They planned their next step, as by collecting data from individual families and test those for the risk involved. "This is an innovative approach to identifying genetically influenced brain and behavioral measures that are more closely tied to the underlying biology of bipolar disorder than the clinical symptoms alone are."
