After drug mixup Pfizer recalls antidepressants

Medicines are to save lives not destroy it. For this reason Pfizer have decided to recall the two lots of antidepressant drug Effexor as these may contain the capsules of another drug called Tikosyn that is actually used to treat heart rhythm disorders. The recall further includes lot of generic Greenstone brand venlafaxine HCl capsules. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration have foreseen the danger the unknowingly consumption of Tikosyn can lead to serious and incurable consequences. The agency has asked pharmacists control sales for these drugs and also explain customers who are using these drugs. It has also been suggested that the patients who have been taking recalled medicines should immediately contact doctor and pharmacy. This is an alarming situation and should not be taken lightly. Hence, those who are having this lot of drug should take immediate and proper action. There will be action against the pharmacist found selling heart drug among Effexor/Venlafaxine
