E-cigarettes help smokers quit?

The Electronic cigarettes are believed to be a better option than normal smoking. With the initiation it was believed that it will help the smokers to quit smoking and also save them from the dangerous problems of smoking. A new research published in journal JAMA Internal Medicine has raised the question does these E-cigarettes helps the smokers to quit the smoking. After rigorous work of studying 1,000 smokers it has been found that the E-cigarettes are not really helpful in quitting smoke. The study leader Dr. Pamela Ling, an associate professor of medicine at University of California, San Francisco explains, “We also looked at a broad population of smokers,” she said, “not just those who were specifically interested in quitting. Right now, we have an unusual situation with a product allowed on the market that’s making health and smoking cessation claims and manufacturers shouldn’t be allowed to make those claims without the science to support them.”
