Can vitamin B consumption prevent stroke

A study was conducted recently which comprised of 14 clinical trials with a total of 54,913 participants, the studies compared vitamin B use with a placebo or very low level of vitamin B. After following for 6 months there were 2,471 strokes all through the studies and all of which showed some benefits of taking vitamin B. Previously there was conflict that vitamin B is of no benefit for strokes and it might even increase the risk. But this study shows that overall vitamin B lowered the risk of stroke by seven percent. Xu Yuming, with Zhengzhou University in Zhengzhou, China said, “Based on our results, the ability of vitamin B to reduce stroke risk may be influenced by a number of other factors such as the body's absorption rate, the amount of folic acid or vitamin B12 concentration in the blood, and whether a person has kidney disease or high blood pressure,"
