Opioid has important role in chronic pain

As per a new and astonishing study conducted at University of Kentucky has brought forward a new information that is how our body responds to a traumatic injury. It develops through the long lasting opioid mechanism through natural pain control. The detailed report could be read in journal Science. Further the study also suggests that our body leads to the two way development of opioid system that is both physical and physiological. For this study researchers stimulated the human injury into a mouse model and then waited for few weeks to look pain behaviors. Then they controlled opioid receptors and also halted pain relieving of the system. With this situation the mouse experienced pain and they also witnessed opioid withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms are quite similar to those as of a drug addict like jumping, shakiness. This continued till a little more than six months and then the pain was resolved.
