Study suggests- poker arms are better speakers than faces
It is a common belief that the ‘poker face’ is the only one way to control one’s emotion while playing poker it is a situation when the player try to control the tension or happiness to cover the player’s face while playing the game so that opponent does not have any kind of hint. But this belief is shaken by a new research conducted at Tufts University. It proved that that it’s not only the face it is also the arm movements that can better convey a situation to the opponent.
This research was conducted with the professional poker players and the students. The team video taped arm movements of professional poker players and then they selected 78 students to go through these videos and tell their inferences. Through this vigorous study it was concluded that controlling a face is not only the solution, even simple arm movements can speak confidently to the opponent.
