Survey says - Silence, Inaction May Compound Problem of Domestic Violence
Domestic violence and sexual assaults are the most inhuman crimes of our societies. As per a new survey conducted it has been concluded that many Americans have been close victims of such social evils but very few talk about it or take any step to stop it. The survey conducted by the NO MORE Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survey commissioned by the Avon Foundation for Women brought out sad realities of life.
As per the details of the survey it was found that as high of 60 percent of Americans are accepted victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. Out of them only 42 percent of victims accepted they received help when they took a step for it.
This survey pulled out harsh realities that around 54 million Americans have been victims of domestic violence and as much of 32 million have been a victim of sexual assault. Even the number is so high there is an absolute silence about this issue.
