CDC Says that egg allergy is no obstacle to get Child's Flu shots

As per the latest recommendation by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee, they suggest that kids with egg allergy can safely take child’s flu’s shots. Egg allergy is not a hampering issue for flu shots. Through this kids can be safe with the flu shots.

Flu is one the biggest problems. It has been observed that more than 21,100 children between the ages 0 to 5 in the United States each year are hospitalized for same cause. For this reason vaccination is quite important for the kids. It was feared that the kids with egg allergies cannot have such vaccinations. Now it is being recommended kids should be vaccinated properly.

The allergist Dr. John Kelso from the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology explains, “In a large number of research studies published over the last several years, thousands of egg allergic children, including those with a severe life-threatening reaction to eating eggs, have received inject able influenza vaccine (IIV) as a single dose without a reaction.”
