Aggressive behavior stimulated by antipsychotic combo

A new study proves that children who have attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and take Risperidone, a psychostimulant are predisposed to improved disruptive and aggressive behavior. The results of this study are published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. The study was released by Michael G. Aman, Ph.D., from the Ohio State University of Columbus, in collaboration with colleagues. There were 168 randomly chosen children involved in this study, aged between 6 and 12 years, all of them having ADHD and severe physical aggression. One part of the children received placebo and the other part of the group used Risperidone. These children helped the authors to bring the final results of this study. “Risperidone provided moderate but variable improvement in aggressive and other seriously disruptive child behaviors when added to parent training and optimized stimulant treatment”, the authors write.

  1. What utter rubbish!!!
The header contradicts the findings of the study! The use of language is abominable. Please get editorial advice and a proofreader before you let garbage like this loose in the blogosphere.
