New opportunity against smoking urged by surgeon general

According to the U.S. Surgeon General, Borish Lushniak, one out of 13 children has shortened lives because of smoking.
Lushniak is worried about the appearance of e-cigarettes which aren`t understood complicate public health even more but he is also worried about the fact that 3,200 youths are smoking their first cigarette on a daily basis. His report proves that if this phenomenon will not be stopped as soon as possible, 5.6 millions of children and teens will die during adulthood, because of smoking.

According to Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “tobacco is even worse that we knew it was”! So far, deaths caused by heart disease and lung cancer because of smoking are well-known conditions, but the list is now enlarged, including other conditions as well which lead to death from smoking, such as chronic illnesses, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, erectile dysfunction and birth defects.
