One third of those who are suffering from mental health issues are informed about the possible impacts of the medicines they are taking according to a study done by mental health experts. The Bureau of Health Information NSW has conducted a survey among its 1028 patients who are suffering from mental problems. This is in regard to the kind of treatment they are provided by medical staff from 1020 to 1011. the study was conducted in order to make sure that all patients are informed about the side effects of their medicines. Only 55 % of the respondents felt that they are allowed to refuse the treatment or medicine while the other thirty percent claimed that they are fully informed about the impacts of the drugs they are taking in.
