A Better Combination of Exercise and Diet to Be Identified For Diabetes Control
The number of diabetes punishments has been greatly increasing with a global estimate of 371 diabetes patients. This alarming rate in number of patients mostly suffering from type II diabetes have led to EU commission search for a better exercise and diet method that will effectively control the disease.
In a study conducted in some nations in the EU involving 2500 participants, it was obtained that exercise and diet were the main strategies of controlling diabetes. In the study a diet consisting mainly of proteins and few easily absorbed carbohydrates was compared to a diet that consisted largely of carbohydrate and less protein to obtain a better and most effective diet in controlling diabetes.
On the other hand, very intensive exercise was compared to less intensive exercise to obtain which was effective in controlling diabetes. “We will include two types of exercise as part of the investigations to determine if there is one that is more suitable”, said Professor Anne Raben in reference to this.
